Toys for Tots

The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, in addition to toys at Christmas; a message of hope to needy children affected or infected with HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean, with the hope that it will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

Other objectives of Toys for Tots are:

  • To help disadvantaged children throughout the Caribbean experience the joy of Christmas
  • To play an active role in the development of our most valuable natural resource - our children
  • To contribute to the improvement of the Caribbean region by investing in the future leaders.

Currently, the Toys for Tots project is conducted annually in Guyana with plans to extend the initiative to Trinidad, Dominica, and Jamaica in 2006. The Christmas of 2003 will marked the 3rd year of operations for this program. In Christmas 2002, in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. PWCAC International Awareness Committee, the program distributed two hundred toys and provided meals for 200 hundred children in Georgetown, Guyana.
